Kid-Friendly Activities to Enjoy in Winter When You Live in Omaha
The garden is always a fun spot year-round. At the right time during the winter you can enjoy the Merry and Bright Nights. This happens until December 31. The gardens are open from 9 am to 5 pm and kids under 3 are free. Kids 3-12 are $9 and 13 and over are $15.

In downtown Council Bluffs. Open Thursday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. This is another great activity because it is free admission. At the museum, you get the chance to learn about the Union Pacific Railroad and there are a couple of different tours you can take for even more chances to learn fun and interesting facts.
Indoor Play Area at Mahoney State Park
It is good to note that a parking permit is required to enter all state parks. This parking fee is just six dollars or you can purchase a year-round pass to be able to park in any state park for $31. Admission to the play area is only three dollars per person. This is a relatively affordable price for some indoor fun in the winter.
Morrill Hall is a little bit of a distance from Omaha but it is well worth a day trip it is like a fun adventure for the kids. Tickets are $9.50 for adults and $5.50 for kids aged 3 to 18. Kids three and under are free. There are also memberships available if you plan to go back again and again.
The Inside Playground at Backyard Playworld
This indoor playground is for children one year and older with an admission price of $10 on weekdays and $12 on weekends. It is a 6000-square-foot indoor playground with swing sets, trampolines, game tables, and more.
